Knitting sans stress…FOR NOW.
Posted by: Knithropologist in Finished Objects, On the NeedlesFinals are finished, so what have I done? I’ve cast on my Midwest Moonlight in Handmaiden Sea Silk. I didn’t want to knit my exam-related insanities into this yarn, so I worked on other things that are better able to absorb and deflect insanity. But before we talk about those, will you please give a warm welcome to the first two pattern repeats of my Masala Moonlight:
This yarn breaks my heart, it is so beautiful. The colours! (happy sigh)
In other news, I finished that Double Major Double Time Drop-Stitch Scarf in Cascade 220 Superwash in record time, and it was blocked and ready for Nicole on the day of our last exam. And here it is, blocked and presentable:
I’ve also finished two Pi Topper Chemo Caps for my friend Karen; one in blue tones, one in purple. Please note that the buttons were sewn on by The Lad, who is a master button attacher.
The blue one, first on its own, then modelled by Momo.
And the purple:
Work continues on the Dawn Chorus Danica, but it isn’t really exciting enough to post about; I will post a picture that finally gets across the green in this yarn (a bit, anyway).
Ah, that’s lovely. It still doesn’t quite do it, but it’s as close as I’ve been able to get so far. I’ll keep trying. Maybe I’ll recruit my old friend Photoshop to help me out.
That’s all for now; I’m still in that strange ‘between terms’ place where I can’t decide if I want to be super-ambitious or super-lazy. We’ll see what wins out! (Though I have to get my garden in, so I suspect it will be the former.
See you soon!
